Barry Singer's art is inspired by the lakes and shores of Pennsylvania where he lives. After studying at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he spent his career in advertising and printing. Today, he's a husband, father, grandfather, artist, fisherman, gardener, friend, and a person who really cares about his faithful art customers. In addition to his beautiful paintings, Barry specializes in fish art with a process called GYOTAKU, where pigment is applied to an actual fish specimen. Cloth or paper is lightly touched to the fish to create a detailed mirror image. GYOTAKU are considered a thoughtful gift and are believed to bring good luck not only to fishermen but business people as well.
